Bio

  • Malobi Mukherjee joins SP Jain London as Associate Professor of Marketing and Director of Executive MBA from James Cook University, Singapore where she was a Senior Lecturer in Business. She has previously held academic positions in Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University and Essec, Singapore.
  • Malobi has a PhD in Marketing from Alliance Manchester Business School where she was the recipient of the AXA PPP Healthcare scholarship. She also holds an MBA from Leeds University Business School and has nearly 18 years of teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Europe and Asia. She has also taught on executive education courses at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
  • Malobi’s research is at the intersection of academia and industry and focuses on retail format development, retail public policy and customer experience management. She has been quoted in the Straits Times and Business Times (Singapore) and written opinion pieces for leading newspapers such as Indian Express, Times of India, and Business Times. Malobi is also a futurist specialising in Scenario Planning which she has used for several retail consultancy projects across Asia, Australia and Europe.
  • Malobi’s research has been published in Long Range Planning, Sustainability, Futures, Asia Pacific Business review and International Review of Retail, Distribution and Consumer research. One of her recently edited books, ‘Innovation-driven business and sustainability in the tropics,’ published by Springer includes numerous contributions from faculty in SP Jain Global campuses in Mumbai, Singapore and Australia. She is also the author of an edited book on Retail Development in Emerging Markets published by Routledge.
